This Privacy Policy describes how Kaadan ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Inventory Nest Android application (the "App"). Your use of the App constitutes your acceptance of this policy.
1. Our Core Principle: Offline and Private by Default
Inventory Nest is fundamentally an offline application. We believe your personal inventory data belongs to you and should never leave your device without your explicit action.
- No User Data Collection: We do not collect, transmit, store, view, or share any of your personal data entered into the app. This includes location names, box details, item descriptions, values, dates, and photos.
- Local Storage Only: All content you create is stored exclusively in a secure, local database on your own device. As developers, we have absolutely no access to this information.
- No User Accounts (for core features): The core application does not require you to create an account or sign in. An optional Google Sign-In is used for Pro features.
2. Information for Pro Features
For users who choose to purchase or use our optional Pro features, some data is handled by trusted third-party services to provide that functionality. We still do not collect or store this data on our servers.
- Google Sign-In & RevenueCat: When you sign in with Google to use Pro features, we receive your unique Google Account ID. This ID is shared with our subscription management service, RevenueCat, to create a secure user identity. This allows us to link your Pro purchase to your account so you can restore it on other devices.
- Google Play Billing: All in-app purchases are processed securely through the Google Play Store. We do not receive or store any of your payment information. We only receive a confirmation from Google to verify your purchase.
- Google Drive API (Cloud Backup): If you use the Pro Cloud Backup feature, the App will request your permission to access your Google Drive. This access is strictly limited to a special, private 'App Data' folder that is only accessible by Inventory Nest. We do not have permission to view, access, or modify any other files in your Google Drive.
3. App Permissions Explained
To enable its features, Inventory Nest requests a minimal set of permissions. This data is only processed on your device and is never sent to us.
- CAMERA: Required for scanning QR codes and product barcodes, taking photos of items, and using the AI Scan feature (Pro).
- STORAGE / MEDIA ACCESS (Photos/Files): Required to allow you to select photos and other file types (Pro) from your device's gallery and to save backup files and exported reports (PDF, Excel).
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Required for the Pro Reminders feature to send you local notifications about expiring items, low stock, or upcoming maintenance.
- BILLING: Required to interact with the Google Play Store for Pro feature purchases.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services. These services are integrated into the App and operate under their own privacy policies.
- Google Play Services & Google Sign-In: For processing in-app purchases and authenticating for Cloud Backup.
- RevenueCat: For managing in-app subscriptions and user entitlements.
- Google ML Kit: For on-device AI item recognition, OCR text scanning, and barcode scanning. All processing happens on your device.
5. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information.
6. Data Deletion
You have control over your data. This policy outlines how you can delete the different types of data associated with the App.
- Local Inventory Data: All inventory information you create (items, photos, attachments, locations, etc.) is stored only on your device. You can delete this data at any time by deleting individual items within the app, using the "Clear All Data" feature in the settings, or by uninstalling the App from your device.
- Account and Purchase Data: To delete the account information associated with your Pro subscription (your unique user ID managed by our third-party service, RevenueCat), you must contact us directly. Please send an email to support@inventorynest.space with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". We will process your request to delete your purchase-related user ID from our subscription provider's system. Please note that deleting this account will result in the loss of your Pro status, which cannot be recovered without a new purchase.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
